LTC Checklist

The items below are required for you to obtain your Texas Licenst to Carry a Handgun. You begin by either taking the LTC class or applying online with DPS. Once you start the process, you have 12 months to complete all these steps. 

Apply online with Texas Department of Public Safety                          Link to DPS  -Click on 'Online Services' link to register				  -Print barcoded checklist from DPS when completed			  (fees apply - look for discount eligibility)														Schedule appointment for electronic fingerprinting                              Link to IdentoGO  -Must be done through IdentoGO   (formerly MorphoTrust USA, fees apply)	  -Click on the link and enter code 119Q91 to find the closest office  *Passport photos are no longer needed unless you do NOT have a Texas DL or ID										Register with DSDT to complete required course of instruction	   DSDT Website  -Initial License - 4-6 Hours of classroom instruction - plus range qualification   -Class fee must be paid in advance to reserve your seat in class.
